So theCurvyCon is literally 10 days away!! I am excited to see all my boo's and since I am not an NYC native I will be making the trek down to NY that Saturday. As soon as I decided I was going, the next thing that popped into my mind was what to wear ( I know I am not the only one).
If you dont frequent events like this I am sure your wondering the same. Ive found that you present yourself best when your comfortable. So although there is that tendency to "show out" its always best to be comfy yet chic.
Here are a few thing to keep in mind.
First wear comfortable shoes, this not the time to wear a pair of shoes you have never worn , if your a heel wearer choose a wedge or a stacked heel, unless your an expert leave the Pigalles at home;simply because you will have them on all day. Also bring a pair of flats this is NYC even Kim Kardashian walks in the city( your feet will thank you for it).
Next layer up you never know what the temperature will be like in the space especially during the summer when the AC's are on full blast. Again you want to feel confident, so go with your favorite pieces, the pieces you feel you look your best in, especially the ones you can pull of without additional help ( e.g. girdles, double sided tape, specialty undergarments).
You "DONT" want an outfit thats too tight, constricting, too short, overly exposed or all around unflattering. You want to choose outfits that dont make you feel insecure in anyway, outfits that you genuinely feel good in.

Finally there will be many bloggers in attendance as well as brands so if you are a blogger or an aspiring business owner please take this into account. This is an opportunity to showcase your brand you want to look professional enough, so that you feel confident as you represent your brand. Say something memorable with your appearance, and make it your voice.
Lastly dont forget your business cards and your media kit if you are a blogger, you never know.
