So the CurvyCon happened last Saturday I can't believe it's already been  over a week. I made the trek down to New York City with a FashiononaCurve and I met up with some other DMV Curvy Bloggers. The overall experience at the conference was good. I got to meet some of my favorite bloggers, bloggers like Kristine, Ro from beauticurve, the blogger behind bigbeautifulblackgirls, of course one of the organizers Cece, Nadia A. , everythingcurvyandchic , hung out with ontheQtrain , even Gabifresh and so many other wonderful bloggers. I was specifically taken aback by how humble Ro of beauticurve was #bloggercrush lol. I also got to preview a lot of brands that I had previously seen online, brands that I have been wanting to try like Nakimuli and Rebdolls. Of course I got a swag bag . I also was able to preview Kierra Sheards clothing line and I tried on one of the pieces.

From an aesthetics point of view they did a great job on decor. Of course the highlight for me was in fact meeting all of these wonderful bloggers that I follow and admire. The only con for me was having to leave to go get lunch. There wasn't an official lunch break, we had to make the decision to leave to get lunch and in the process we missed some of the activities. Although the event had intermissions most  people used  that time to walk around and mingle, shop and take photos.
If your thinking/planning to attend next year here are a few tips bring shopping money, flats (if your not an avid heel wearer) and some snacks.

The organizers actually sent out a survey after the event, so I have a feeling next years will be bigger and better. See you in 2016 .

As far as my outfit I kept things minimal and comfortable. As I stated in my  What to Wear  to a Conference post you need to keep comfort in mind. I went for Culottes (now 50% off) cause I am a pants  kind of girl and this Pair (now 50% off) from Asos was perfect with its draping. When wearing a loose / draped piece like my culottes Its best to Keep proportions in mind and go with something fitted up top.  I went  with a fitted semi sheer Tee  and some sky high  Peeptoe Platform Pumps ( key word platform), because culotes  look best with a higher heel.  Finally to complete the look and add a little edge I choose a Vampy Purple Lip  which tied in the purple from the Shoe.

Will you be attending CurvyCon 2016 ? and If you attended we would love to hear your thoughts ?
