Pre Black Friday Sales/ Deals Round up + Last Minute Thanksgiving Outfit

SKIRT // TURTLE NECK // PUMPS // WATCH
When it comes to occasions that involve eating two words come to mind comfort and camouflage. So I always default to a Full Skirt ( the silhouette is flattering on most body types and the high waist hides everything) this One from forever 21 has been a go to. TIP to balance proportions always wear something fitted on top when you wear some thing full on the bottom.

I Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours . I am thankful for the dreams I no longer have to close my eyes to see!! I am truly thankful for Supplechic's growth in 2015, all of you who read/support this blog and those of you who follow me on social media. Thanks for partnering with me to make my dreams come true #teamworkmakesthedreamwork . Finally thank you again for (all your kind words and comments they truly motivate me to keep pushing forward) your part in making all this possible.

What to Wear to different Holiday Parties

PLUS SIZE HOLIDAY PARTY IDEAS PART 2
If you've got more than a few holiday events coming up then you  should invest in Separates ( see last years look Here).
If you go with Blacks, Jewel Tones and Metallics you can mix and match all day long . Just add different Accessories and Voila! youve got new looks.

FOR EXAMPLE
The Feather Neck Piece can be worn over this look or over a simple LBD ( or even a teal dress). I personally recommended a Statement Piece like this to my pear shaped gals ( do you know your body type?); the Neck Piece draws the eye upward and away from any problem areas down below. Also it will probably keep your neck and shoulders warm.

The Sweetheart/Plunge Body-Suit is another  piece that can be worn a plethora of ways. It can be worn with Culottes, Wide-leg pants, or even Flares. Its a perfect piece for my ladies in the itty-bitty committee (aka small bust). Plunge pieces are perfect for you (just dont forget to Cover the nips) they highlight your decolletage in a subtle but sexy way.

Finally this exact Mesh Skirt is from BCBG and does not come in plus however you can get the same look with a Tulle skirt (long version Here) . Tulle Skirts are perfect for adding a touch of glamour to any look and can be worn with many things  a Graphic Tee, Turtle neck , and a Lace Blouse, your options are endless.

So remember if your trying to have killer outfits this holiday while not going broke invest in Separates.

For even more Holiday Outfit ideas check out this Post . Be sure to come back tomorrow for my pre Black Friday sales roundup (promo codes and all).

15 Plus Size Holiday Party Dresses Under $75 : Silver Dress & Black Pumps

plus-size-holiday-party-dress

PARTY DRESS  //  BLACK PUMPS  //  BOX CLUTCH
Party season will soon be in full swing/effect so I thought it was about time to round up my favorite party dresses.

I originally wanted This dress (as soon as I saw it)with the mesh top in red (luv This One too). I have a slight obsession with sheer pieces, but unfortunately they only had the dress in a 1X ( & I wear a 3X at Pinkcubwear junior sizing). Then I came across This Dress saw the cut outs & thought you cant go wrong with sparkle around the holidays
The Dress features cut outs in the back but I thought it looked better in front so I am wearing it reversed. If your trying to show a little skin, cutouts are the way to go.

The Dress itself is made of light weight jersey that's supper stretchy with a silver tread woven throughout; hence the shine. Since the Dress is the focal point of the look, I decided to keep my accessories minimal. I choose my sexy leg lengthening black Suede Pumps (look for less version Here) and a black jewel encrusted Box Clutch from Topshop to finish off the look.

Love the Dress use code CHICHI20 to get 20% off your entire Pinkclubwear purchase.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING TIP!
Go ahead and get your  party dresses now! Avoid last minute scrambles to the mall, they rarely pan out, I know Ive learnt the hard way.

SHOP PARTY DRESSES

Cyber Monday is a week away on Monday November 30th; what is Cyber Monday, its the day online shoppers like my self wait for all year (its like Christmas) its the black Friday of the internet.
Its usually the only time of year everything on ASOS is 25 to 30% off that includes sale items. Its usually the only day most online stores offer free shipping with no minimum ( Eloquii, Simplybe, H&M e.t.c). Hand down the best part about it is that you can participate from the comfort of your home (aka bed).

Ive already got details on a few sales happening, unfortunately I cannot spill the beans until they are live, but make sure to visit the blog daily for updates !!! Go now to This post for my round up of the best deals & sales before there gone.

Again special thanks to Pinkclubwear for providing me with this Sparkly Dress, all opinions are my own.

What to Wear on Thanksgiving : Turtle Neck + Leather Skirt & Brown Boots

TURTLE NECK // LEATHER SKIRT // TIGHTS //  BROWN BOOTS
Remember last week I promised you a casual thanksgiving look ( Here) well here it is. I love an all black look in autumn/winter and this season is no exception. But it can get a little boring, to spice things up add in some color. For this look I decided to add another neutral, exciting right.  I have a love/hate relationship with Boots yall ( see why Here) already know, but I couldn't pass these up cause they where only 13 bucks at Target, one of those random store deals...( they're sold out online but you might like These or These

This look works for thanksgiving because black will hide any and all food stains (cant be the only clumsy one); the Black Turtle Neck ( a seasonal must have, also in Stripe) will keep you warm and cozy as you brave your way to your destination. The Leather Skirt  adds texture to the look keeping it from looking monotonous and its wrap style is flattering to all body types ( Here is a great option under $30).

This outfit will  also work at a friendsgiving,  and a meet the parents/family situation. The look will also hide a multitude off sins ( like a fourth helping of aunt  Patti's pie) and the look affords you some anonymity.  So you can slink off into the shadows before clean up duties are assigned, and personal questions (about when your getting married, when you will have another kid, why you dont visit as much, and where that great ex boyfriend is......) begin.

A Few of My Favorite Things: Gift Guide For Friends

A Few of my Favorite Things
As the title says I will be sharing a few of my favorite things, think of this as an unofficial gift guide to warm you up for the season ahead.

The phrase "a few of my favorite things" always reminds me of Sound of Music which always reminds me of my childhood. My older cousins loved watching horror movies particularly ones with zombies. To soothe the younger cousins the older cousins would either  put on Kids Praise (Psalty) or Sound of Music.

Rather than racking your mind on what gifts to give your best friends or girls why not just give them your tried and true favorites. You've tested them, you know they work, which is why you love them, so why not share right. Makes perfect sense, Im not sure why I never thought of it.

I dislike domestic duties and I find that when everything has a place cleaning up becomes simpler. Which is why I love Wicker Baskets ( like these for additional storage 1, 2, 3), acrylic trays, perfect for makeup ( 1, 2, 3) , mini Ceramic Dishes ( like this pink & gold One that only $7 #stockingstuffer) the ultimate catch all (1, 2, 3) , Jewelry Holders ( 1, 2, 3) e.t.c.

Rather than just wadding blindly through marriage I've learned its important to consult the Experts. This Book comes highly recommended and although I haven't finished it, the information in the Book makes sense and is supported by data. I also recommend the Power of a Praying Wife if you are a woman of faith .

My Fur Clutch  from Asos which I've worn numerous times ( see Here) is a hands down favorite. my Fur Clutch goes with everything and adds a touch of glamour to every look ( shop option 1, 2, 3). I love it so much that I want a similar One in Burgundy. Its the #perfectgift for your fashion forward friend/s.

Another Favorite is my Leopard Pumps ( These are 40% off) from Aldo . Ive worn them so many times ( see HereTip: Look for ones that are made of calf hair ( like These) the texture makes them look even more expensive ( shop option 123). I  also want These sparkly beauties.

Finally I'm pretty crazy about these Suede Moccasins from L.L. Bean. I must confess I dont own them for my self but wore a friends and fell in loveeee. They are ultra plush and I remember how much I ooohhh and ahhhhed while wearing them. I would pair them with Skinny Jeans or Joggers, a Tee and a Parka on a lazy day.

Let me let you in on a secret Nordstrom is doing a major Fall Clearance ( think boots, scarves, parkas the works) dont miss it! Have you seen ShopBops Gift Shop I'm kinda Obsessed See what I mean.

What are some of your favorite things? Please share we would love to know.

The Perfect Thanksgiving Outfit

plus-size-thanksgiving-outfit-old-navy-burgundy-high-waist-pants-target-v-neck-sweater-supplechic

Monochrome-outfit-how-to-wear-color-this-winter-plus-size-outfit-idea-tips-advice-supplechic
COAT // SWEATER // PANTS // PUMPS
Dress codes for Thanksgiving really vary and depend  on the family, so if  this look is too formal, resist the urge to show up in sweats and come back on Monday (to see the outfit I came up with) I'll have a casual look posted.
When most people think of monochrome they think of either wearing black and white or wearing all black or all white. However you can wear color, I remember growing up I used to dislike matching  but that's not the case anymore.
When it comes to matching (wearing all one color) there are no longer any rules. As long as the colors are in the same color family you can wear them together.
For this look I chose a Burgundy Sweater  ( only $12 plus 40% off) from Target, these copper colored High Waisted Pants  (are sold out but still comes in Green)  from Old Navy

Most of their Soft Pants are on  SALE  and under $15 with an additional 40% off !!  Seriously though, Old Navy is my go to for Pants and its because of prices like these! just saying.

By the way These Old Navy pants are the perfect Pants ( you might like These too)  for Thanksgiving because they are high waisted and pleated so they will hide any food baby that may be conceived over the course of the evening.
If youve gone for more "seconds" than you care to admit and are so stuffed by the end of the night, you will appreciate the fact that you can just untie the waist and revel in your food coma.

To tie the colors in the entire look together I choose to try the mini scarf trend.  I added a vintage Silk Scarf with colors from both the Pants and the Sweater which pulls the look together perfectly. I finished of the look with Black Pumps and my current favorite my Maxi Coat ( also got my eye on this One ) from Asos (so warm).
I searched High and low for a Coat like this in plus (that wouldnt break the bank) and surprisingly, I found the Coat in the non plus section its a size 14. I took a chance because of its cut and it fits so well I have size 18 arms yall!! and there is room to spare . This is a perfect example of why its best to use numbers as just a guide. Its a great quality Coat, it dosnt shed or attract fur balls and is perfect for making any look (PJ's Included), look put together.

4 Looks To Wear Now : Holiday Outfits

fool-proof-plus-size-holiday-outfits-tips-ideas-bomblife-beauticurve-girlwithcurves
 1 // 2 // 3 // 4
Shhh........ dont tell anyone but the holidays are almost here!! Oh my pocket book, since I am learning to see the positive side of things, I decided to get my self in the festive mood by rounding up some of my favorite holiday looks.

Why look one works
The look walks the line between sexy and sophisticated.  Claire shows off one off her best assets her legs while keeping everything else toned down. The lace fabric of the dress (shop Here & Here) shows off hints of skin,  which is subtle but elevates the look. Her choice of basic black sandals (shop Here & Here) elongates the leg and ensures that, that's all your eyes see.  Claire's look is perfect for a dinner or cocktail party

SHOP LOOK ONE

Why look two works
Draping a jacket over ones shoulder is the newest way to add "Chic" to any look and Rochelle seems to have mastered it. In this case draping the tuxedo(shop Here , also in Tall & Here)  over the dress adds a Black Tie element to the look. Ro adds a pop of color to the  look which completely transforms the neutral palette . A bold colored clutch like that is definitely a must have (shop Here & Here) . Ro's look would be perfect at an office or dinner party.

SHOP LOOK TWO

Why look three works
The look (an Instagram favorite) pairs two things that should not ordinarily go together. A fancy top(shop Here & Here) and tattered aka distressed jeans ( my favorites are from Forever21), but by putting both pieces in the same outfit you create a balance and an effortless ensemble. Especially when dressy accents like a box clutch (shop Here & Here)  and Suede Pumps are added. This look can be worn to a variety of places around the holidays and beyond a networking event, house party, or even happy hour.

SHOP LOOK THREE

Why look four works
You can not go wrong when you go with classics. In this case a Black Dress and a flattering silhouette the fit and flare. This silhouette looks good on EVERYONE, but what makes this Dress (shop Here & Here)  stand out is the volume and the hem . By keeping accessories dainty ( like this Kendra Scott Necklace) your eyes are drawn to the flirty detail on the hem. T's look would be perfect at a black tie event or a holiday wedding.
Not sure what to wear on Thanksgiving see This post.

Psst.... Forever21 is having a Friends and Family sale 20% off your purchase use code: FRIENDS

Foolproof Travel Outfit For Fall + Tips : Leggins, Plaid Scarf & Green Parka

full-proof-travel-outfit-forever21-distressed tee-faux-leather-leggings-white-chuck-taylor

travel-gear-green-parka-tee-leggings-sneakers

plu-size-travel-outfit-forever21-distressed tee-faux-leather-leggings-white-chuck-taylor
SCARF // LEGGINGS  // TEE // SHOES // LUGGAGE
Today's post is all about holiday travel outfit ideas, as well as tips and advice to help simplify the process. I dont know about you guys but I love traveling the wanderlust for me is real. I love the Adrenalin rush and all the chaos that happens before you get to the airport.

One time I misplaced my passport the morning of my flight, and another time my passport had expired and I didn't know ( now that wasn't funny). I could regale you with various stories but thats not what this post is about.

The number one Tip I can give when traveling is to LAYER  between the temperatures outside, in the airport , on the plane and at your destination the temps can vary significantly, so having the ability to pile on and remove clothing is necessary.
The Key is light weight layers, cause no one like that constricting feeling you get when you have on multiple heavy pieces .
Start with a Layering Tank, then add on a long or short Sleeve Tee, then a Layering Cardigan and finally finish of with a Jacket ( like This fur trimmed one under $60) or Coat. Another essential you need is a Scarf if you choose a Blanket Scarf, it can also serve as Blanket, a Neck Pillow or even a Sleeping Mask.

SHOP LAYERS

Leggings or Stretchy Pants are a necessity, preferably ones that do not need a belt, because thats one less thing you need to TAKE OFF  at TSA. Also who wants to have on blood constricting jeans on a long flight. You want to wear something that affords you some flexibility on a flight, as you try to find the perfect sleeping position on your chair ( the sweet spot).

SHOP COMFY BOTTOMS

When it comes to Shoes the simpler the better I default to Sneakers for flights but if your a die hard heel wearer a Pump is acceptable. Remember you have to take of your shoes at TSA ( I am assuming everyone reading this flies commercial if your reading this and you go private Hey!). This is not the time to wear intricate Lace Up Shoes or tight shoes for that matter; if you dont want to get evil stares from everyone behind you on the line; Slip-ons are Ideal ( like This or This under $30).

SHOP SHOES

As far as Luggage I always carry a Carryall (this One is under $15), so that I can have all my essentials with me ( I can do a post on this) and an extra cloth bag just in case my Luggage is too HEAVY.
I also recommend investing in sturdy Luggage ( like This) they last a life time and you have peace of mind that your belongings will arrive with you in one piece.
Finally I recommend bold Colors or Prints when purchasing luggage ( like This or That). It makes finding your baggage at baggage claim so much easier, because it saves you from sifting through a hundred and one black, and brown pieces of luggage.

SHOP BAGS & LUGGAGE

By the way Asos is having a sale 20% of 150 & 25% of 200. If your trying to save even more money sign up for EbatesIts a great way to get CASH back whilst shopping.
