Hope every one is doing well, their is a story behind these pants or shall I say this outfit. I originally spotted these pants on Brittany's instagram and took a shine to them. Then days later beyonce posted this on Instagram and I knew I had to have it. I was plesantly suprised by the quality of its construction no fragile sequins here and it was a steal at $30. I know the look is not a hundred percent the same but its definitely a look for less because Beyonce's Stella Mccartney pants cost around $450 and my whole outfit is not even half of that. Thinking of doing more celeb inspired look for less YAY or NAY.
P.s. When I was in high school I could have gotten a job as a fashion Illustrator I lived for it. Was really excited when I found out about this sketch feature! One click and you can turn your picture into a drawing.

Of course I had to put one of my videos lol! shameless plug one of my favorite trends for fall is leather ; so I had do a look-book featuring leather and while thrifting I scored this amazing sequin jacket! literally I have had a sequin jacket on my thrift list for ever. So I was super excited when I found this one. I would have preferred black and gold or colored sequins but hey beggars aren't choosers. Subsequently I decided to include it in the look-book and also to showcase how you can style up and old tee and jeans.

So with age I have become a hopeless romantic( to my dismay) and this video that was made by Wendys beaux almost made me cry. Most men who help out with youtube videos dont do it by choice and God only knows the cajoling that must go on behind the lens. I love how invested he is in her venture; you can see the love through the lens and wendy's rise characterizes the quote "two heads are better than one" kudos to you mystery man.

Lastly I Love videos that show ways to wear anything and a jean jacket is a classic/staple. If you dont have one run to your nearest store and if you are on a budget thrift stores have loads. This video shows how versatile a Jean jacket is. Throw it on anything and it just tones it down it creates that "I am not trying too hard look".Furthermore I love the concept of this video. I lust for the days when I will have the equipment and expertise to make such awesome video's, but I try to tell my self its one step at a time. A one man crew can only do so much.

It seems that of late I have become intrigued by all things french. Hence the title "five things" I think its because of the latest street style shots from Paris fashion week. Or it may be because the innate frenchman in me has surfaced. Frenchman? I took french of and on for about six years of my life. The funny thing about the whole thing is all I can say is "what is your name" and "my name is". I feel bad for my mom sometimes she really tried to make me cultured, french, piano ......... But all I wanted to do was draw and sing. Now here are my current five favorites:
I AM loving the current explosion of plus size bloggers in TUTU's. As I said on my FB page I guess we all have inner ballerina's in us. As usual Gabi didint disappoint I also loved the outfit Gurl With Curves put together; if you are intrested in this style I know that forever21 has a few less expensive versions of the tutu skirt. I could write a post just on the PENCIL SKIRT. The pencil skirt embodies my philosphy on style: it accentuates ones curves, it is sultry/sexy without being vulgar, its sophisticated and leaves room for the imagination............. Pairing it with a tee makes it modern and gives off that effortlessy chic vibe we are all trying to attain. Off course one of the biggest trends for fall is LEATHER and I have been obssesed with leather sleeves for about two winters I am still trying to find the "right look" within my price point. I am crossing my fingers that it will happen soon. PRINTS!!! If you didn't know I am Nigerian, we love prints and all things colorful, bold and clashing. You can take the girl out of Naija but you cant take the Naija out of her. Last but not least SOLANGE I am thoroughly intrigued by this woman; I just love her style and how she owns who she is. It cant be easy being her, but if her sister owns her music SOLANGE owns her style, her style is impecable! its the perfect mix of high, low, edgy, modern, and vintage with an ethnic twist. My goal is that one day I will be able to work with her ( I am having a Stan moment ). P.S Rant alert!I need a HTML crash course I have spent literally four hours trying to place picture where I want them and trying to get rid of extra space really peeved feeling a little better now if the space wants to be there let it be!! I have amassed a mini arsenal of shorts and I wondered which pair to wear,I didn't want to do denim cut off's; had my eye on a printed pair at target but didn't buy them.
Finally I decided on my scalloped sequin-esque shorts that I bought in the winter from F21+.I am more of an introvert so I really don't like things that bring attention to me so sequin during the day is a bit of a stretch for me. However for awhile now I have been intrigued by the thought of wearing them for day because they are definitely night time shorts and "not something I would normally wear" for day.
There was a time I wouldn't be caught dead in shorts because I didn't think I had the body for them, in my mind only girls/women who where a certain size could pull them off.
I don't know when the change happened but slowly I stopped caring about what others thought of me (don't get me wrong sometimes I get an off day) and I decide to be free of sleeves and jeans in the Heat.

If you havnt heard of Carmakoma they are a Danish brand and I first heard about them from Gabifresh. Since then I have been following their rise and I have to say that I like what their brand has evolved into.

However I must say that at the beginning I felt that their vision was very niche based, but now from what I can see, there is a little bit in the collection for everyone.
