Nothing says summer like a pair of denim cut-off, well technically these are cutoff's I decided to fold them up cause I thought they looked better this way. I made these about 2 yrs ago and I will be tweaking it a bit by distressing it further and cutting it on an angle ( you know D.I.Y-ing is a process lol). It seems that my lapel went awry on the last photo, guess that what happens when your running out of time! So I have had a change of mind about the short suit trend ( I am now a complete convert), so off course I had to pair my cutoffs with a blazer and a silky shell from F21 that I bought in 3 colors; I plan to go back for more, I only wish they didn't have the annoying pocket lol. When in doubt wear neutrals!The Bomber/Letterman jacket is not quite mainstream, but I have a hunch that it will be by Fall.
The bomber is making a come back its been re-incarnated in a streamline version of the original in a variety of prints and on trend colors( my favorite being the floral prints,it creates the perfect mix of feminine and sporty). Additionally its a great alternative to a standard suit jacket and makes the perfect light weight jacket for spring.

In leau of the time of year I thought "boyfriend" would be a fitting title Valentines is upon us if your in need of a dress you can check out my previous post HERE. So I bought this pair of boyfriend jeans about 3 years ago and right off the bat I noticed it wasnt very "boyfriendy" on me cause of the hips and derrière the lord bless me with. For many reasons like my hatered of whiskering on jeans, these bad boys havnt gotten alot of wear (like 90% of my closet) but as of late they've come on my radar maybe it is because some of my favorite bloggers/celebs have been wearing them. What are the characteristics of a good boyfriend jean you might ask:
slouchy
faded and destroyed
cuffed (because of course your boyfriend is way taller than you so you had to cuff his jeans)
from your boyfriend/fav neighborhood denim retailer

Boyfriend jeans and white two tricky trends on plus-size/curvy women, as always its about how you style it. So how do you feel about the winter white and boyfriend jean trend ( boyfriend jeans tend to favor a boyish body type and white makes everything look larger!!)are you for them or against them and have you tried these trends.
P.s this was supposed to be a winter white post, but you get a two fer because fortunately or unfortunately I dont have any white bottoms and honestly I am scared of white I would be a nervous wreck the whole time from trying not to get stained.
Hi dolls! its the ninth day of the new year a week has already gone by wow! I predict this year is going to race by, which is kind of bitter sweet for me because my not so little munchkin is turning six soon . Seems like he was born yesterday however before I procede down nostalgia lane let me get back to this post. I seem to be keeping it simple these days, I actually wore this outfit before the Gray post but thought it was too simple for the blog (I need to stop second guessing myself lol). After reading this post by stylishcurves and watching this vid on pocketsandbowsTV I decide otherwise. Also black and white seem to be the combination of the moment. I am so behind on up and coming trends I seriously need to do some homework, I can tell you to keep your eye out for stripes preferably black and white and for the color emerald. Last september was hectic for me because I was transitioning so I was out of the fashion week loop, on that note I cant believe Fashion Week (NY) is only a month away time flies, this time last year I was preparing for IFBCON. By the way I still feel like the outfit is missing something what would you add?
P.s If you are a blogger and you havnt been (IFBCON) its definitely an experience and now they have jazzed it up and made it a two day event.
Cant believe its New Years Eve seems like the year started yesterday, goes by fast I guess as you get older. As I look through these pictures I think of all the phases I went through this year, from mint to chartreuse to oxblood and leather its been an interesting year. It had its ups and its downs but I am grateful to just be here. I just want to thank you especially for following my journey and for allowing me into your lives its a choice that you made

Of course I had to put one of my videos lol! shameless plug one of my favorite trends for fall is leather ; so I had do a look-book featuring leather and while thrifting I scored this amazing sequin jacket! literally I have had a sequin jacket on my thrift list for ever. So I was super excited when I found this one. I would have preferred black and gold or colored sequins but hey beggars aren't choosers. Subsequently I decided to include it in the look-book and also to showcase how you can style up and old tee and jeans.

So with age I have become a hopeless romantic( to my dismay) and this video that was made by Wendys beaux almost made me cry. Most men who help out with youtube videos dont do it by choice and God only knows the cajoling that must go on behind the lens. I love how invested he is in her venture; you can see the love through the lens and wendy's rise characterizes the quote "two heads are better than one" kudos to you mystery man.

Lastly I Love videos that show ways to wear anything and a jean jacket is a classic/staple. If you dont have one run to your nearest store and if you are on a budget thrift stores have loads. This video shows how versatile a Jean jacket is. Throw it on anything and it just tones it down it creates that "I am not trying too hard look".Furthermore I love the concept of this video. I lust for the days when I will have the equipment and expertise to make such awesome video's, but I try to tell my self its one step at a time. A one man crew can only do so much.

So I am starting a new series called Muse cause I am sure sooner than later you guys will get tired of seeing my face lol! Basically I will be showcasing bloggers, designers, pop culture icons, the girl on the street, anyone who I feel has inspired me.
So I first came across K. on Lookbook and was immediately enthralled. I quickly checked to see if she had a blog unfortunately she didnt (I can totally understand why).
For the most part I follow quite a few Bloggers some mainstream others not so much but I tend to idolize the ones that are adventurous e.g. the vintage virgin.
I love people who don't quite sing to everyone's tune and this is very rare in the full figured world. With all that said I bring you Kerlie Raymond.
I'd say her style is quite Eclectic its a mish mash of California Chic ( flower child meets edgy meets beach babe) with a hint of Now( Modern,trendy) and a healthy dose of Vintage
So I asked K, three questions 1. What does your style say about you? My style says whatever and whoever I am feeling that day.
2.Who is your style/fashion muse/inspiration? My style inspiration is June Ambrose. Her style is phenomenal.
3. If you can only choose one item to wear every single day for the next year, what would it be?The one item I would choose to wear everyday for the next year is confidence, without it no outfit is complete. =]
