Not sure why I look so mad in these pictures, couldn't find one were I wasn't scowling. However I really like the way fuschia pops on brown skin;  every year around this time I fall back in love with color. Typically I am into pastels but neon everything has been given me life lately, from coral to fuschia to chartreuse. Hope you are all enjoying your summer cause you will never have this summer again.

Ever since I saw Beyonce at the gallery in a short set I have been looking for a similar look for less but  two things were against me. Finding a set within my budget as well as finding one in fat size. One day as I was perusing my closet this look just came to me, although its not an identical set it comes pretty close. So if you are looking to recreate her look,  all you have to do is choose printed separates in the same colors. How do you feel about matching sets yay or nay?

DAY TO NIGHT II : DENIM CUT-OFFS

Nothing says summer like a pair  of denim cut-off, well technically these are cutoff's I decided to fold them up cause I thought they looked better this way. I made these about 2 yrs ago and I will be tweaking it a bit by distressing it further and cutting it on an angle ( you know D.I.Y-ing is a process lol). It seems that my lapel went awry on the last photo, guess that what happens when your running out of time! So I have had a change of mind about the short suit trend ( I am now a complete convert), so off course I had to pair my cutoffs with a blazer and a silky shell from F21 that I bought in 3 colors; I plan to go back for more, I only wish they didn't have the annoying pocket lol. This summer for me is all about short shorts and breezy dresses ; what are some of your summer essentials? SuppleChic

SPRING TRENDS 2013: MONOCHROME

So I typically do one big post showcasing the upcoming trends, however I decided not to do it that way this time. As we know not everything we see on the catwalk is ment for the crosswalk. So I've decided to feature my TOP FIVE "wearable" trends for SS 2013 one post at a time.

The first would be the MONOCHROME trend. Now I dont know why its called the monochrome trend cause I always taught mono ment one (I googled it and I stand corrected) and since its black and white wouldn't dat be two? This color combination has taking over, from stripes, to windowpane prints, to polka dots. Moreover its a personal fav because its wearable and you can easily shop your closet. So have you started your spring shopping, purchased any black and white items or tried the trend. 

Every season new trends come and go but everyone knows that theirs rarely anything new under the "fashion sun". If you are on a budget first shop your closet, if that fails vintage/thrift stores offer great quality pieces for less and finally when your satisfied that you have done due diligence shop!
